Overall Awards

The Great Race awards the following places at the post-race stage ceremony following the 10K:

5K Overall Male and Female: 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th

10K Overall Male and Female: 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 6th | 7th | 8th

Please The Great Race has a non-duplication of awards policy. A runner who finishes in the Top 8 overall in the 10K run or Top 5 overall in the 5K run does not qualify to win an age group plaque. Therefore, your finish in your particular age group category may improve due to other runners in your age group finishing in overall positions.

Masters Awards (Age 40+)

The Great Race bestows the following Master's awards in both the 5K and 10K. Only the First Overall Male & Female Masters awards are presented at the post-race ceremony on stage following the 10K:

Overall Male & Female Masters: 1st | 2nd | 3rd

Second and Third Place Masters Awards will be mailed approximately two weeks post-race. In the event that a Masters qualifier (age 40+) finishes within the Top 5 of their gender in the 5K or Top 8 of their gender in the 10K, they are not eligible for a Masters Award and will be awarded for their finish in the Top 5 (5K) or Top 8 (10K) overall. The First Place Masters Winners will be the first Masters qualifiers that finish following the Top 5 finishers in the 5K and Top 8 finishers in the 10K.

In honor of the late Mayor Richard S. Caliguiri, The Great Race presents the "Caliguiri Award" annually to the top 10K male and female City of Pittsburgh residents (individuals living within city limits for at least one year prior to race day).
