In just two short weeks, more than 500 little runners will take off in Point State Park to run this year’s Dollar Bank Junior Great Race

PITTSBURGH, PA (September 13, 2019) – With two weeks before this year's Dollar Bank Junior Great Race, the City of Pittsburgh is gearing up for a weekend of fun for everyone! Little runners will take off in three different races on Saturday, September 28 at 11:00 a.m., but there is more in store than that!

The One-Mile Family Fun Run will take children 12 and younger through a one-mile course in the streets of downtown Pittsburgh, starting and ending in Point State Park. Toddlers in the family will race a 50-yard stretch in the Tot Trot, and for the tiniest participants, the Diaper Dash will have parents on the edge of their seats!

Be Prepared for Tons of Fun!

“With the Dollar Bank Junior Great Race on Saturday and the Great Race on Sunday, it truly makes for a family event,” said Dollar Bank Senior VP of Marketing, Joe Smith. “This is the 24th year for the Junior Great Race, and it continues to get better each year — we are really looking forward to it.”

All registered children will receive a race medal celebrating their accomplishment, as well as a Dollar Bank Junior Great Race t-shirt, goodie bag, hot dog courtesy of Café at the Point and a Smiley Cookie from Eat’n Park. There will also be mascots around for photo ops, face painters, craft tables, raffle prizes and more!
