Fifth Avenue and Atwood Street in Oakland
The 14th Great Race 5K Walk begins immediately after the start of the 5K Run. The 5K Walk is a part of the 5K competition. It does not receive separate timing or awards.
The predominantly downhill course for the 5K Walk (3.1 miles) runs through Oakland and turns onto the Boulevard of the Allies.
Portions of the proceeds are donated to the Richard S. Caliguiri Amyloidosis Fund in honor of race founder and late mayor of Pittsburgh, Richard S. Caliguiri. For more information on the 5K Walk, please call The Great Race Hotline at 412-255-2493.
